Whiskers was a soft, white cat. He had big, blue eyes and a tiny pink nose. Whiskers was hungry. His tummy rumbled, mrrrrrow.
He looked around his cozy home. No treats. No yummy fish. Whiskers felt a little bit sad.
Then, Whiskers had an idea! A shiny, bright idea. He saw his colorful crayons. He saw his big drawing paper.
Whiskers picked up a red crayon. He drew a big, round apple. Then, he drew a yellow banana. His tail swished, swish, swish.
Next, he drew a green fish! A very big fish, with lots of scales. He giggled, a little purr.
Whiskers looked at his drawings. They were so colorful! They made him smile. He was still hungry, but his heart felt happy.
Suddenly, a little bird flew by the window. “Chirp, chirp!” said the bird. It saw Whiskers’ drawings.
The bird landed on the windowsill. It looked at the apple, the banana, and the fish. “Chirp, chirp, beautiful!” the bird sang.
Whiskers felt even happier. He shared his drawings with his new friend. They sat together, looking at the colorful pictures.
Even though Whiskers did not eat the drawings, he felt full. Full of joy and friendship. He knew he could draw yummy things anytime he was hungry. And that was a very happy thought.
